Love In Action spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ in India by working with indigenous pastors. India's population is nearly 1.4 billion, and more than 95 percent are unreached with the Gospel of Jesus. The largest religion in India is Hinduism, and 81 percent of the population are Hindu.
Making Disciples
Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20, to go and make disciples of all nations (people groups), and that's one of our main focuses in India. We help our indigenous brothers and sisters share the Gospel and train them to be able to make disciples who make disciples.
According to Open Door's 2018 World Watch List, India is now the 11th toughest country to be a Christian due to the intensely increased persecution. This makes it even more important that we spread the Gospel and make disciples who can also make disciples.
A very important aspect of making disciples is providing Bibles in their own languages. We are very passionate about putting Bibles in the hands of new believers.
We are training pastors and believers the Training for Trainer (T4T) discipleship process. The fruit of this training keeps multiplying. We praise God for what He is doing in India.
Meeting needs
Our brothers and sisters live in extreme poverty in India. Love In Action helps by sponsoring indigenous pastor for $100 a month. Offerings at their churches are often less than $10 a month, because the people are so poor. Therefore, a pastor cannot take care of his family or provide for the needs of the church.
Love In Action installs water filtration systems to provide fresh, clean, safe drinking water for villages. This not only saves physical lives, but providing safe drinking water also makes for great opportunities to share the Living Water, Jesus Christ, with the people.
