Weekly Schedule


Below is our normal weekly schedule at Love In Action. Our ministry center is located at 279  W. Main St. in downtown Dothan, Alabama.


Donations such as non-perishable food, hygiene items, and clothes may be dropped off at our ministry center
on the following days:

Tuesday - 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Wednesday - 10 a.m. - 12 noon

Thursday - 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Friday - 10 a.m. - 12 noon

Saturday - 10 a.m. - 12 noon (first 3 Saturdays of each month)


  • Bible study

    Love In Action Bible Study - Wednesday - 6 p.m. - the Love In Action Cafe - worship, Bible study, and prayer. Those attending the worship service are given a meal in a togo plate.

  • Samaritan Clinic at Love In Action

    Samaritan Clinic - Thursday - 2 p.m. - Suite 3 at Love In Action - A free health and eye care for the homeless, people living in group homes, and inmates at Houston County Community Corrections Work Release program. Medical professionals give of their time and talents to provide quality care to each patient. LIA volunteers serve dinner to the patients and offer prayer for them.


  • Acts of Compassion

    Every Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and the first three Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, we serve the homeless and poor in Dothan, Alabama, on campus. We provide non-perishable food items, hygiene items and clothing free of charge. We wash clothes for the homeless, and the homeless can take showers. We also serve hot meals and offer prayer.

  • Community Outreach

    Every Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m.  and the first three Saturdays of each month at 1:30 p.m.,  we serve plates of food to the homeless and poor in Dothan and other areas of the Wiregrass with our Love In Action Community Outreach. We also take bags of groceries and other items to families in need. We go to different locations where the homeless frequent, low rent hotels, mobile home parks, and other neighborhoods where people are in need.
