Samaritan Clinic

A free health and eye care for the homeless, people living in group homes, and inmates at Houston County Community Corrections Work Release program is held every Thursday. The clinic is located at 279 W. Main St. Suite 3. Medical professionals from Dothan volunteer their time and talents to help the homeless in our community. Non-medical volunteers serve dinner to the patients and pray with them. Churches and individuals provide food to serve every Thursday night. It's truly the Body of Christ working together to show the love of Jesus to the people.

Healing Body and Spirit

Something is always special about serving on Thursdays at the Samaritan Clinic. Maybe it's how medical professionals give of the talents God has blessed them with to serve the "least of these brothers of mine" as Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:40.

Maybe it's how our non-medical volunteers give of their Thursday afternoons to pray with people and serve dinner.

It's all of that and more. We praise God for all of the volunteers and for the patients. It's amazing to see and hear how thankful patients are of the quality of care they receive from the medical volunteers. It's also amazing to see tears of joy stream down the faces of people as our volunteers pray with them and to hear testimonies of how God has answered prayers and is moving in their lives.

Lives are being changed for the glory of God every Thursday - souls saved, people encouraged and health needs met. We thank God for all He is doing.
