Training for Trainers

The objective of T4T comes from 2 Timothy 2:2: "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

Simply put, mass producing disciples leads to mass producing the church.

T4T is designed to take new believers and train them in basic discipleship in order to train Disicple Trainers (or make disciples) resulting in Church Planting Movements (CPM). Love In Action teaches T4T in countries where there are many unreached people groups in order to plant many churches to spread the Gospel in those countries. We also teach T4T in our hometown of Dothan, Alabama, to mature believers and make strong disciples who can make disciples to further strengthen the local body of believers.

Making disciples of
unreached people groups

Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:18-20, to go and reach all people groups with the Gospel and make disciples. We take His commands seriously. Therefore, we travel to parts of the world where there are many unreached people groups, especially in the 10/40 Window where the majority of unreached people groups in the world reside. Unreached people means people who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We train indigenous pastors, missionaries and believers with the T4T process, and we have seen amazing results. T4T is easily reproduced and works in any context. Once the believers understand the process, they can immediately begin training the new believers they lead to Jesus.

Making disciples in Dothan

Love In Action teaches T4T in our hometown of Dothan, Alabama. Teaching and training new believers is simply being obedient to the Great Commission Jesus gives us in Matthew 28:18-20. We have helped many homeless people come off the streets over the years, and the most effective way to accomplish that is leading them to Jesus and teaching them how to live according to God's Word. If we helped them with their physical needs, but didn't teach them about Jesus, we would be wasting their time and ours. The ones who successfully come off the streets and stay off the streets are the ones grounded in the Word of God. Then they are also able to go and make disciples.
