Needs of Ministry

Needs of the Ministry

The first three Saturdays of each month Love In Action helps nearly 400 families with food and hygiene items, as well as clothing. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we serve hot meals to 30-40 homeless people each of those days, as well as with non-perishable food and hygiene items.  Please help us keep our shelves stocked, so we can continue to help meet the growing needs of the homeless and needy in Dothan, Alabama. We also  help people Tuesday-Friday, so the needs are constant.

If you, your family, small group, church or civic group can help please do. Donations of food and hygiene items may be dropped off at our office on Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Our office is located at 279 W. Main St., suite 2, Dothan, AL, in downtown Dothan.

We also need paper, plastic and cleaning products to help with each ministry we do. Finances are always welcome to help meet the daily, weekly and monthly needs of the ministry, such as mortgage payment of buildings, insurance, utilities, upkeep of buildings and vehicles, etc. Most of all, we need your prayers.

If you give financially, please mail your tax-deductible financial donations to: Love In Action, P.O. Box 85, Dothan, AL 36302.

  • Prayer

We believe prayer is very powerful. This is not an easy ministry, so we are very thankful for your many prayers. Your prayers strengthen us. Please pray for those we reach out to, that their hearts will be softened and they will make decisions to follow Jesus.

We are praying for you just like the Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 1:3, "We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you..."
